Mint is one of the favourite plants to grow. Why? Because they are practically indestructible. Give them water and sunlight, they grow like weed. My pot of mint is overgrown and the time comes for trimming.
To propagate mint, you just need to cut them up and keep them in water.
Within 2 days or so, you should see new roots growing.
When the roots grow to a certain length, you can re-pot them. From there, they will continue to grow like weed. :)
I’m going to re-pot more of these because mint can keep ants away! This particular pot is in the kitchen and I did notice that ants are not coming close to it.
This is just warming up. I have an idea lately. I’m going to try growing vegetable in small containers like the ice-cream tub in the picture. This needs a bit of research to see which kind of vegetable is suitable. One of the first vegetable I can think of is dwarf pumpkin. Not sure if they are suitable in our climate but I shall try.
