Google Publisher Plugin

Google has released a Google Publisher Plugin for self hosted WordPress sites. I use WordPress and AdSense, so I’m hopping in to try although the plugin is still in beta.

Google Publisher Plugin For WordPress

Installation is straightforward like any other plugins. After installation, you will need to authenticate with Google as part of the setup process. Once setup is done, you get options to manage AdSense and Webmaster Tools.

When you click on the ‘AdSense’ option, the plugin will start to analyse your site. At first I didn’t know what it was for, but the outcome was a pleasant surprise.

AdSense placement suggestions

The plugin will suggest locations where you can place your advertisements. So adding of the advertisements is simply clicking on the pointers. On top of that you can customise the look and feel of the advertisements.

Once the placements are done, just click on ‘Save and Activate’.

And that’s it! No fumbling with the HTML code or other 3rd party plugins.
